World’s greatest attractions

Travelling abroad, or even in your own country, can unearth some wonderful tourist attractions and landmarks to make any trip memorable. Planning your travel itinerary around the tourist attractions at each destination is highly advisable. These can include great galleries, like The Hermitage in St. Petersburg or The Galleria Borghese in Rome; famous museums, like the British Museum in London or The Louvre in Paris, sensational natural wonders, like Ayers Rock in Australia or The Everglades in America, to sensational man made wonders from the ancient world, like The Colosseum in Rome and Stonehenge in Britain.

Stonehenge

Stonehenge is arguably the finest ancient stone circle in the world. What is today the grassy landscape of Salisbury Plain has, it is believed, been the site of the famous stones for almost five thousand years. It will probably never be known exactly why the monument was built where it was, or why.

The National Gallery

The National Gallery is Britain’s foremost public gallery, holding one of the finest collections of European art pre-1900 in the continent. And the best thing about it? It’s free. The gallery itself is the dominant building in Trafalgar Square facing down on to the square and taking up the full northern side.

UK tourist attractions

Did you know that the Queen of England owns one of the finest art collections in the world? That The British Museum, perhaps the finest and largest collection of arts from the antiquities until today doesn’t actually cost a penny to get into? (Donations, please!) Ergo The National Gallery (chocked full of some of the finest pre-20th Century works of art in the world) and The Tate Britain and Modern. Not bad, really, all things considered. But UK tourist attractions really are varied and wonderful.
